The Challenge
The CEO of the company wanted to update the look and feel of her company to reflect its evolution over the past 5 years. While still happy with the previous identity, she felt it no longer fully represented the focus of the company.
The Solution
After much discussion with this client, I developed a number of identity designs that reflected the ideas she had brought forth in our brainstorming sessions. She desired a logo that supported strength, loyalty, and permanence. She also wanted a stronger impression that her focus was on the medical field.
I was limited to the palette of red/blue/black - as she felt that these colors supported the image she wished to impress upon her clients. While the cadeusis is often used, I strove to ensure a new look at an ancient and respected symbol. The lettering is still simple, but is given a more formal feel to support strength and permanence.
Previous Logo
I have a long-term relationship with this client. Back in 2001, she had originally requested a simple logo, based on her needs at that time.
The blue swirl represented the friendly attitude of this company, their openness and willingness to work within their clients' systems and needs. The lettering was simple yet indisputably distinguished.
