The Challenge:
The assignment called for completion of a CD cover, following the process through concept development, photo shoot and lighting management, as well as concept completion. Limitations included only photos shot by myself - either during class or previously. I was also required to use a partner from class (chosen by the teacher) in the concept.
The Solution
I chose the Gothic/Alternative musical genre, because it matched the look of my partner (my only other choice at the time would have been some football related image). After much consideration, we settled on the current look. We took approximately 50 photos in order to get the exact shot we needed. I added the image of my roommate as a counterpoint, offering the difference between Good and Evil. While not as "grunge" as many Gothic/Alternative CDs tend to be, I think this particular CD cover is highly effective.
